Hit the Art Trail in North Walsham!
Yes…it’s back again after its highly successful debut last year! Some 20 artists across the town are opening their studios and workshops to visitors during the Norfolk Open Studios fortnight from Saturday 16 to 31 May. This is being launched with an exhibition at the library from the evening of the 5 May to 23 May. Come and see for yourselves, during the three weekends, the wide range of artistic creations, including painting, ceramics, photography, textiles, sculptures and drawings and talk to the artists themselves about what they do and how they do it. The Norfolk Open Studios is part of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival which is the longest running in the country and involves well over 200 artists throughout the County. In North Walsham, the Hippo Trail runs concurrently with the Art Trail in the last week of May and two of the studios are also hosting hippos.
So get into the art in the town and look out for the posters and signs highlighting the studios, including paintings in some of the town’s shop windows. If you’d like further information please contact Berni Marfleet on 01692 403984 or on bernimarfleet@hotmail.com
